Twelve new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Kuwait, bringing the total number of infections to 142.
At a press conference on Wednesday morning, Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad revealed that out of the 142, 15 cases had recovered and 127 are still receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Commerce has revealed that three commercial stores and a number of vegetable vendors’ stands have been closed for violating coronavirus regulations.
In a statement, the ministry said that teams inspected 238 pharmacies, issued 72 penalty notifications to commercial stores for breaching laws and allowed nine others to reopen after receiving pledges to tackle the violations.
