Kuwait’s anti-corruption authority (Nazaha) has referred an official from the Amiri Diwan and some others to the Public Prosecution on charges of facilitating the seizure of public funds, Al Qabas daily reported.

“The crime committed by the aforementioned official and others [falls under] Article 10 of Law No. 1/1993 regarding the protection of public funds. We will not hesitate to prosecute those involved in corruption.” Nazaha added it is still receiving serious reports about corruption incidents. “All reports are subjected to investigation and vetting”.
The authority expressed appreciation for the whistle-blowers who help provide necessary information about corruption cases saying it will provide them with utmost protection and confidentiality in accordance with the law and executive regulations.
