General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development has requested Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to delay signing the contract with a global operator for the management and operation of the new T2 terminal due to fear of monopoly, and marginalization of resources and administrative, financial and technical capabilities of the directorate, reports Al-Qabas daily.

It stressed that the future forecasts indicate the number of passengers in 2029 will reach about 20 million passengers.
