The first bowling championship for men, women and youths, which kicks-off today at the headquarters of Kuwait Bowling Club in Salmiya, will continue until Feb 8.

This is the outcome of Board Chairman of the club Sheikh Talal Al-Muhammad’s bid to expand the participation base and discover new talents for the game to develop and prosper in the country.

Unprecedented cash prizes will be awarded to the first to 16th placers in the men’s category and the first placer will walk away with KD 750.

In the women’s category, cash prizes will be given to the first to eighth placers and first to fourth placers in the youths’ category.

This championship is expected to attract a huge number of participants from different age groups of both genders due to the popularity of the game among all age groups; and in light of Kuwait hosting a number of continental and international bowling tournaments which greatly increased the popularity of the game.

The championship is one of several local tournaments organized by the club throughout the year in order to widen exposure and experiences of players.
