Canada-based Intelcan Technosystems has secured the contract for the newly developed third runway at Kuwait International Airport (KWI) in Farwaniya, Kuwait.

According to the contract, Intelcan will also be responsible for improving the navigation systems.
The deal was signed by Civil Aviation (CAA) general director Yousef Al-Fawzan and the director of Al-Muntaha Real Estate and Construction Contracting Company, which is the local agent of Intelcan in Kuwait.
The agreement also covers the design, the maintenance services and the supply and provision of training.
The services will be executed according to KWI’s development plan.
Intelcan will provide the Automated Landing Aid System (ILS) technical support and upgrade and alter the system’s positions at the airport’s eastern runway.
Under this project, the Kuwaiti teams will also be trained for operating and maintaining the system.
