Rohit Ramachandran, CEO of Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways, has revealed he will wait until early next year before making a decision over an order for 22-25 new narrow body jets.
Speaking at an aviation conference in Dubai he said that discussions were taking place between the budget airline and Airbus, Boeing and others and that the order would either be for the Airbus A320 Neo or the Boeing 737 Max, with deliveries expected post-2022.

Airlines were forced to ground their fleet of 14 Max aircraft earlier this year following the fatal crash of an Ethiopan Airlines aircraft in March. The incident was the second fatal crash involving the Max.
Boeing had set a fourth-quarter return for its return to the skies, although the UAE’s aviation regulator said in September that it was unlikely to be back in service before next year.
