In a press statement, the General Staff described the circulated reports as untrue and affirmed that the Kuwaiti military bases were not used in such operations.
It urged publishers of such fabricated claims to pursue credibility and accuracy in their reporting.
The Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement affiliated with the PMF had earlier alleged that the American aircraft that had carried out the attack near Baghdad International Airport was launched from Kuwait.
It denied in a statement reports that the MQ-9 drone, which killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani, had flown from Qatar.
It added: “We found that the only airport for this plane is the State of Kuwait, specifically at Ali Al Salem Air Force Base.”
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah instructed on Sunday coordination with friendly countries over recent regional developments, inviting military and security chiefs to a cabinet meeting Monday.
