Kuwait has issued a stern warning to its policewomen against wearing tight clothes or excessive make-up while on duty, newspapers in the oil-rich Gulf emirate have reported.

“All policewomen must abide by the rules and instructions issued by the ministry,” said a circular issued by Undersecretary Lt. General Suleiman Al Fahd.
“It has been noticed that some of the policewomen are not complying with those rules.
“Therefore, we again call on all women in the police force to stick to rules during duty by avoiding wearing tight clothes or much make-up.
“Policewomen must also avoid wearing excessive accessories, having weird haircuts or dyeing their hair.
“All policewoman are urged to comply with military appearance during duty.”
