Expressing his satisfaction with the results of the minister’s tour, the Emir said the Summit will bring together leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and strengthen their brotherhood and solidarity against the challenges in the region.
Saudi Arabia will host the 41st GCC Summit on Jan. 5, in its capital Riyadh.
Kuwait recently announced that its years of efforts to end the Gulf crisis, with the support of the United States, had yielded effective results.
An Arab quartet of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt severed diplomatic ties with Qatar in June 2017 and has since imposed an embargo on the Gulf state, accusing Doha of supporting terrorism. Qatar has repeatedly denied all the charges.
