The meeting also discussed the possibility of signing an agreement of understanding between the NHRC and the Bureau aimed at strengthening and protecting the close relations between the two parties in the fields of human rights, in addition to the joint organisation of training courses, conferences, forums and seminars, and conduct studies or research on topics of common interest, especially in the presence of common factors such as demographics and social customs and traditions between the citizens of the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait.
The meeting coincides with the celebration of the fifth anniversary of the United Nations honouring H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, and the designation of Kuwait as a centre for humanitarian action in deserved achievement consolidating Kuwait’s position in international forums.
The two sides also organised a second training course in Kuwait for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior in Kuwait in March 2015 under the title: (the optimal framework for how to deal with human rights issues through the use of appropriate international and regional mechanisms) as well as the NHRC organisation of the Exhibition of Islamic Culture in Human Rights in Kuwait, as part of regional cooperation in the field of awareness and education in the field of human rights, and the qualitative partnership between the NHRC and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs in support of the Gulf joint cooperation and boosting the strong relations between the two sides in the field of human rights.
