Swiss-Belhotel International is set to open four new hotels in the GCC during the first half of 2020.

Gavin M Faull, chairman and president of Swiss-Belhotel International, and Laurent A Voivenel, senior vice president, Operations and Development for the Middle East, Africa and India, made the announcement during a tour of hotels in the region.


The new properties are located in Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain. The first of these – Swiss-Belboutique Bneid Al Gar Kuwait – recently opened its doors marking the group’s debut in the country as well as the entry of the brand in the region.

Faull said:

“Swiss-Belhotel International’s growth and performance are testament to the strength of our compelling brands. We are delivering on our commitments to owners and guests and are thrilled to enter new destinations in the GCC at this existing time when the region is all set to witness some of the biggest events in history.”

Voivenel added:

“We are excited to expand our footprint further in the region with such stunning properties… We are confident our distinct hospitality, powerful global network and efficient management of resources will drive outstanding value for our owners and guests.”

The Swiss-Belboutique Bneid Al Gar Kuwait is a 4-star lifestyle property located on Kuwait City’s beachfront promenade.

Swiss-Belinn Muscat, Oman, opening by the end of February, is a 3-star hotel featuring 128 while Grand Swiss-Belresort Seef Bahrain, opening in Q2, is a 5-star property featuring 193 rooms and suites and Swiss-Belsuites Admiral, also opening in Q2, is a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Juffair in Bahrain.
